In-hub epicyclic gearbox

The design, materials and manufacturing module set an epicyclic gearbox as a CAD exercise. I took it further than the brief asked. TBRe had just designed its new in-hub gearbox, so I built my own iteration of the concept: a planetary reduction packaged inside the wheel hub, around the same motor model the team runs on the car and with a similar overarching layout. The assembly carries close to everything a real gearbox holds. Bearings, circlips and seals are in place, and the gear set comes out of Inventor's gear design tool. The detailed rating work a production gearbox stands on sat outside the module's scope, and this page makes no claim to it. What the exercise bought me was fluency: a full transmission assembly, modelled properly, shaped by having watched the team design a real one.
